A single light bursts across the night sky like the streak of an artist's pen. A second joins, darting across an abyss of black in a wink of pearly light. Dozens of shooting stars join the first, the sky alight with dancing beams. They fall like tears across a celestial page, jumping, dancing, and disappearing across the horizon. Soon though, the meteor shower must end, the last spark blazing across the night sky in a solitary pin prick of brilliant light. The sky is dark again, not a single sign that shooting stars had ever brightened its marbled dome.
