Dance Paradisaeidae (3-Late Elementary)

$6.99

Paradisaeidae is a family of birds native to the tropical island of New Guinea. Commonly known as “birds-of-paradise,” they are famed for their unusual manner of “dancing” to attract a mate. This bouncing dance involves an extravagant display of vibrantly-colored feathers that create special visual effects. Dance Paradisaeidae captures the bouncy character of this ritual. The rhythm in this work was inspired by the West Indies folk song, “Yellow Bird.”
