By definition, perpetually means: “occurring repeatedly; seemingly endless.” This hypnotic, minimalist-inspired work explores a repetitive gesture that wanders through subtle harmonic changes and fluctuates between moments of peace and tension. This continues throughout the work, increasing in suspense and intensity as we enter the coda, where the hands first move in a symmetrical motion. The work concludes with an expanded version of the introduction that fades out into perpetual oblivion.
