This sequel to the first Dance Off! takes the energy up another notch! A dramatic opening section evolves into a full-on dance party reminiscent of George Gershwin’s Preludes. The player will be challenged to maintain a controlled, steady boogie-woogie pattern in the left hand while the right hand stylishly navigates an obstacle course of chords and syncopations. This rousing piece finishes with a return to the opening material, but spinning off into a fast and furious coda.
